We are still enjoying the glow of our trip to Croatia for Henry’s guitar retreat. This was our second retreat with the SuperSimple group in Croatia, and we hope to return again. The entire experience was beautifully planned, with wonderful hospitality throughout. The guitar sessions were excellent, and as the most beginner of beginners in the group, I learned so much from Henry and from the more advanced players, especially Bob U. But the week was special for more than just the music. We loved socializing with the other attendees, enjoying the wonderful food, and taking in the magnificent setting on the Adriatic. Where to start. Impossible to put into words this wondefull retreat, but here goes. From the excellent tuition from Henry, and Alex always there to help. The stunning views and the food, {so much food)created and served by wonderfull people who went out of ther way to help you in anyway. The brilliant excursions, nothing was too much, all laid on by the wonderfull hosts Henry and Alex. Also meeting and making new friends and having such laughs along the way. WOWZA!~! FANTABULOUS!!~!! Henry and his sidekick Alex will give you a week you will cherish forever. Set in the Adriatic seaside town of Rabac, Croatia - this Villa rests on top of the mountainside where you feel on top of the world. The views to the town and sea below are only the beginning. The 'infinity' pool is crisp and clean. The eight individual suites for the guest are unique and private. The private executive chef team is World Class and provide a wide variety of delicious meals. Pairing these wonderful dishes with amazing wines is really the cherry on top. We had a fantastic day trip to the 'Old Town' of Labin capped off with THE BEST pizza I have ever enjoy (and I have been all around Italy)! The guitar Workshop was killer great. Seeing everyone glow with delight learning new chords, new solo ideas, new songs is such a thrill for me. My Sweetheart Amy thoroughly enjoyed time on her own with new friends from around the world. We will definitely return for another trip in the future.

What an extraordinary experience!! This week in Croatia, together with Henry, his team, and the other participants, will remain my most beautiful and powerful experience ever! I met incredible people; the villa is gorgeous and feels just like home; the food is delicious (thank you, Gaya!!); the moments of sharing and laughter are priceless; and having the chance to pick up a guitar at any time of day and play with others is both a joy and a truly enriching experience. And what a privilege to get advice and special moments with Henry, who has such a passion for sharing his knowledge and love for music, constantly encouraging us to step out of our comfort zone. You don’t come back the same after such an adventure — you grow as a person, on the inside, and as a guitarist. Thank you!

If I could give this trip of a lifetime 10 stars I would! Booked 6 months in advance so had lots of time to build up expectations. When you do that you are lucky if the actual trip comes close to meeting those expectations. But everything about this trip EXCEEDED my expectations. I could write a Stephen King size novel about how my guitar skills grew more in one week than could have in a year. I could write more about the beautiful Accommodations, atmosphere, AMAZING 3 meals a day prepared by a private Chef, the bonding that magically happened with all the other players, the list goes on. I brought my husband with me who does not play any musical instrument, yet he felt like a part of the group and had just as much fun as I did and he never picked up a guitar. Everyone there was a different skill level, but it didn’t matter. If someone wants to fast track their guitar skills in a supportive, fun environment where it feels like Magic is happening all around, THIS is it. Can’t wait for the 2026 retreat!!
